I am a physical therapist with over 14 years of experience and a passion for helping moms. I’ve seen firsthand how women—especially mothers—put their needs last, silently battling physical and emotional struggles that come from pregnancy and postpartum. I’ve always believed that every mom deserves better; including better education, better resources, and better community support. Daniel Pink’s quote beautifully encapsulates why I feel so strongly about stepping into this space:
“If you have something that you think benefits the world, I think you have a moral obligation to try to bring it to people. If you have something extraordinary, whether it’s a piece of software or design, that is going to make a material difference in people’s lives, then I’m sorry, you don’t have the luxury of sitting around, waiting for people to come and knock on your door. You’ve got to go out and tell people about it. Not only for your own economic solvency—I actually think you have a moral obligation to the planet to tell us about it if it’s that great.”
Daniel Pink
For me, the “something extraordinary” is the knowledge and tools I’ve gained about pelvic health and postpartum healing. These are areas that are often overlooked, misunderstood, or even dismissed, yet they impact a mom’s ability to care for her family, pursue her passions, and feel like herself again.
A Moral Obligation to Serve
In a world where so many moms suffer in silence like leaking when they sneeze, feeling weak in their core, or navigating the emotional weight of motherhood, I can’t stay quiet. I’ve been blessed with the training, resources, and passion to make a difference, and I feel a deep responsibility to share what I know.
But this isn’t just about the physical body. It’s about the whole self. Healing isn’t just a medical proces, it’s a journey of self-discovery, empowerment, and community. That’s why I don’t want to stop at simply offering information. I want to create a community where moms feel seen, supported, and equipped to reclaim their strength and joy.
Going Beyond Knowledge
Pink’s quote reminds me that it’s not enough to wait for someone to stumble across a blog post or hear about a resource by chance. If I truly believe in what I have to offer (and I do!) then it’s my responsibility to share it boldly. Whether through my blog, podcast, or a wellness class. My goal is to make this information accessible and actionable.
Building Community
No mom should feel alone in her struggles or think she’s the only one facing these challenges. I want to help create a space where moms can connect with each other, share their stories, and find hope in knowing they’re not alone. That’s where the healing truly begins, when we’re reminded of our shared humanity and given the tools to thrive.
Living Out the Mission
Pink’s words are a challenge to anyone holding back from their calling. They remind us that when we have something meaningful to share, it’s not about selling or self-promotion—it’s about service. Helping moms heal isn’t just my job; it’s my mission, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to make a difference.
To the moms reading this: You are not alone, and you are not broken. You are strong, worthy, and deserving of healing. My hope is to walk alongside you on this journey, providing the knowledge, resources, and encouragement you need to reclaim your vibrant, abundant life.
Let’s do this together.
